Common Spa Repair Requests We Get

Hello I need a spa service done. Also the jets are not working. Many Thanks

---

We have just purchased a house in Leeming with a built in spa and we were wondering if it is possible to have a technician attend the property to check the condition of the equipment and age/life expectancy. If so, can you please quote how much this would cost. Thanks

---

My spa may need a new controller as some of the push buttons are not working on the touch pad. I also need new headrests and a new cover. Possibly new knobs for pump and blower controls as they are sun faded. Can you help?

---

I have a spa that suddenly stopped working, but not sure why as it seemed to be running fine. Could I organise a time for you to check and fix it please.

---

Hi Warren, we have an issue with a leak that drains the spa to just below the jets within 24 hrs. I haven’t had it running for 6 months now but I'm pretty sure it only drained when the heat pump was on. I removed couple of the panels to see any leaks from the pipes that were within my view but can’t spot it, your help will be appreciated. I’m in High Wycombe and Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days for me to be home for the job if we can work around that.

I was just wondering if you can help. I turned my spa off on last Monday to clean in (drain, scrub, refill it to clean pipes). When I turned it back on to re-drain it after the cleaning the display showed 888 and every dot was also lit up. None of the buttons worked. I left it turned off at the switch and turn it back on the next day and still the same. Do you have any recommendations? Or do you know what the problem is and can help and an estimate? Thank you Dennyel (based in Lathlain).

Hi, I've got a spa that is electrically dead. Worked great one night and the next night it wouldn't even prime. It has a TP800 controller. The spa is built into the ground all of the other controls, heater etc. are nearby at the side of the house. The install looks very professional and the house is only a few years old. The controller had a dark area on it from prior to when we bought the house. It was still usable but partially obscured. I don't know if this is related or not to the spa not starting. I think not as I thought the spa would prime etc. regardless. I had another spa guy look at it but he was a "water side guy". No idea of electrics. I searched the internet and found your company and hopefully you do the electric side as well. Voltage is present. I measured it before I left home. I'm away until later in the week but my wife is home. Can you help? House is in Jindalee (beachside of Butler) Thanks.

Hi, I want to replace one of the jets for my outdoor spa that is attached to the pool. Please advise if you will do this?

---

Hi Warren. Our 20+ year old spa has a slow leak overnight without the pump running. I also noticed a while back one of the spinner jets fell apart and I assume one of the jets is leaking. It is losing about 4-6 inches of water over 24hrs. This spa is below ground so I hope it's not a pipe issue. I have replaced the 3 way valve, filter o rings and am confident it is not leaking from the pump area. Please let me know how your charges work. Location is Ocean Reef.

---

I have a Freedom Pompeii spa that will not run as it has error code number 6 on the key pad which said when Googled the temperature sensor or temperature controller needs repairing. Can you help?

---

Hi Warren I have a Pentair master temp 200 heater for my spa and a Heliocol solar pool heater and both are unserviceable. I was having electrical issues ie flicking safety switch after a process of elimination and an electrician attending I discovered these devices are playing up. Would you please be able to fix my heaters?

---

Hi Warren I have a Spaquip supercharger 5501 1.25hp spa blower that has given up the ghost.  Do you have a replacement blower? If so can I have a price and availabilty please.

Spa repairs Perth, what is involved?

About the Repair Process

At some point in their lives, a spa tub own may face a breakdown of some sort, whether it is structural, mechanical or electrical in nature. On many occasions, a hot tub is not given sufficient maintenance or diagnostic screenings, and this increases the likelihood of a breakdown. The best way to reduce the likelihood of a breakdown is to replace minor parts, and do small, routine maintenance, and all of the necessary check ups required to sustain the operations of that hot tub. But sometimes, the parts of the hot tub become abraded to a certain degree, or they were simply manufactured with defective components, and this leads to a complete disaster.

There are a number of different technical issues that a hot tub can suffer from. For example, in some cases, the fuse for the hot tub will actually blow. In other cases, the tub will simply not work and the exact cause of this will be relatively unclear. It is also critical to note that a malfunction does not always refer to a complete break down. If you live in Perth, WA, you may request a repair specialist for a host of other reasons as well. Sometimes, the heater of the hot tub or spa simply stops working entirely. Alternatively, some hot tubs are subjected to excessive heat. If the pump functions continuously at a low speed or a high speed, this can drastically impact the flow of the water. Furthermore, without ozone, a blower, or light, problems can emerge. And finally, a spa leak or burnt wires can give rise to a serious problem.

Repair Options

There are a number of repair options available to those in Perth, WA, and the repair service that you will receive will be strongly contingent on the type of issue you are experiencing. For example, if you hot tub will simply not turn on, it will be necessary to examine the high limit switch, the GFCI, the fuse as well as the input warning. The repair technician will examine each of these components comprehensively in order to pinpoint the exact location of the outage. They may first begin with the input of the power source. Then, if this checks out, they will move onto the GFCI. If this component simply resets itself and appears to be stable, then they will check the fuse, and finally, the high limit switch. They will view and examine these in successive order, turning on each one as they go along.

But, suppose your heater has stopped functioning entirely. Another process will be required to address your heater because this is not electrical in nature. There are many components that may be associated with the cessation of your heating functions. These components include the thermostat, as well as the spa side control, the filter cartridge, along with the heater contractor, and the thermostat.  The first step in this process will entail checking the incoming power, as well as the voltage that is associated with it. Another possible step will entail turning the thermostat clockwise. There are a number of other complex facets involved in the heating process. But as noted, it involves all of the components mentioned above.

In some cases, you may be the unwitting victim of a spa leak. If this is the case, then the technician will have to examine the pump seal, as well as the valves, plumbing, spa shell, heater manifold, and the jets. Once they have disconnected the spa power, they will then check the spa pump and heater fittings. Next, they will thoroughly inspect the heater, valves, and pipes as well. Once they have checked each of these components very thoroughly, they will be able to pinpoint the exact area of the leak and proceed with the process accordingly.
